You can go live, create opportunities and get paid.
Did you know that by 2019, online video will be responsible for 80% of global internet traffic? Everybody is already watching videos all day online, and in the coming years this is going to increase even more.
When it comes to live viewers spend 8X longer with live video than on-demand video. If you’re ready to pull the trigger on leveraging livestreaming for your brand, GOOD! I believe that livestreaming is a major tool for small business owners to build and grow in any industry. Going live allows entrepreneurs to take the commodity off their business by putting a unique face and personality on the product.
There’s only one thing you need to make money livestreaming (in my opinion): a strategy. Ask yourself what you want to accomplish using Periscope, Facebook Live and Instagram Live for your business, and outline how you’ll make that happen. Once you know the “what”, you need to work on the “how”:
- Find your people – instead of trying to be everywhere, be on the platforms where your intended audience is
- Content, content, content – ask yourself what people are talking about in relation to your product/service, and broadcast your answers
- Content to cash – have a plan for how you’ll turn viewers into buyers (understand that this isn’t often a direct path)
You can make money with livestreaming.
I talked about the steps to making money with livestreaming during a recent workshop with Tucson Young Professionals, check out this video recap of the class, courtesy of The Present Market:
Instead of waiting for a ship to come in and pick you up, build your ship with your consistent, strategic live broadcasts.
