Five Ways to Refresh Your Marketing for the New Year

Spread the love

It’s always a good time to refresh your marketing, and if you want to hit the ground running for the new year, starting as soon as possible is ideal. If you’re looking to attract more customers/clients and evangelists for your business, take advantage of the anticipation and excited of 2018 by breathing new life into your marketing efforts.

  1. Business cards

Business cards are supposed to give potential customers a way to get in touch with you, right? Certainly, but that’s not all they’re capable of, make your business card work for you! What goals do you have for 2018? Use your business cards as a vehicle to get there. Some of your goals might include:

  • making it easy to contact you
  • establish trust, credibility, or authority
  • tell customers what you offer
  • offer an incentive
  • tell the story of your company
  • stand out from competitors
  1. Headshots/Brand images

When was the last time you had headshots? If you can’t afford to hire a photographer, take your own headshots. In the same way that fashion trends change, tastes in your audience will change and they’ll be attracted to different brand aspects. The new year is a perfect time for a makeover.

  1. Website

Is your website looking a little, 2016? Have you noticed your bounce rate increasing or traffic decreasing? Take some time to evaluate your website data (I recommend Google Analytics), to capture conversion rates cart abandonment statistics, and other details to determine where you need to improve. Then create the strategy to make it happen.

  1. Social media cover/header images

First impressions are lasting impressions, and visitors to your social media accounts decide if they want to stick around. Ensure that your cover and header images look fresh, are full of pizazz and attract the people you want to attract.

  1. Content

You’ve heard the phrase, “Content is key.” Make that consistent content (my struggle…). Your content operates as online doors to your website – think about the areas that you want to be known for, create and publish content consistently, promote that content and enjoy the fruits of your labor in 2018.

Let’s make 2018 Great!
