Design-build contractor
Building a localized content engine with AI
A design-build contractor entering a new market wanted AI to work like a content manager with strategic instincts. We built a custom assistant loaded with their service tiers, personas, and local outreach logic.
Outcome
A persona-aware content assistant the team now runs on its own
Timeline
Guided build + working session
Scope
- Custom Content Planning & Writing Assistant
- Persona and service-tier programming
- Region-specific outreach logic
- Prompt library, campaign starter prompt, first-use guide
The challenge
The leadership team, including a CEO with a mergers and acquisitions background, wanted AI to streamline content planning and support more confident marketing decisions in an unfamiliar market.
Off-the-shelf tools failed on two fronts. Localization: generic models could not ground ideas in real neighborhoods, ZIP codes, or community channels. Persona depth: their segmentation model was nuanced, but generic prompts produced surface-level content that missed each tier's actual triggers.
The approach
We built a custom version of the Content Planning & Writing Assistant programmed with their five service tiers and customer personas.
It was embedded with region-specific outreach logic — ZIP codes, neighborhood identifiers, and local institutions — and trained to recommend both digital content and offline community engagement tactics.
Guardrails were added so the assistant recommends a human strategist when a prompt exceeds what AI should decide.
The team was equipped with a campaign starter prompt, a prompt library spreadsheet, and a first-use guide for long-term independent use.
