Content marketing is a force multiplier for every purpose-driven business & brand owner that chooses to use it – but there are three things to consider if you want to avoid crappy content. Successful content is useful (to the consumer), engaging (for the consumer) and consistent, which means that creators need to have a repeatable process.
The challenge with being consistent is the potential that content quality drops, so knowing what to include in order to be effective is important. I call those content ingredients the 3 Ms: Mindset, Medium and Message.
Your mindset as the creator matters because you can’t allow imposter syndrome to cause you to doubt the value of what you have to offer.
The medium matters because you want your content to be available to your audience on the platforms they’re using.
Your message matters because you want to be speaking to the interests and needs of your audience right now.
If you’ve noticed that you’re not getting the results you want from the content you’re creating, take a closer look to determine if you’re covering these bases. Check out the video below for a more detailed explanation of the 3M’s:
Creating content allows business owners like you and I to take advantage of where consumers’ attention is being directed. I believe there’s always room to ramp up your content efforts, and if you’re willing to invest the time I’m certain you’ll see a difference in your business.
Keep your 3Ms in mind and you’ll be on your way to reaching the right people with the right message at the right time. You don’t need to be a content marketing “guru”, you just need to know how to capture that attention of your people online. I created this product to give you a head start.
